PCTG is housed under the same family of polyesters as PET-G. PCTG filament offers durability, ever-lasting strength, and precision. Unlike PET-G, this unique filament can endure high temperatures reaching a staggering of 76°C – a great choice for printing projects requiring mechanical and functional parts. Containing high chemical resistance, PCTG filament is easy to print and, since it is free of BPA, is considered a food-safe material suitable for creating food packaging prints.
Description
PCTG, also known as Poly Cyclohexylenedimethylene Terephthalate Glycol, is extremely similar to PETG and offers increased strength, low shrinkage, and better clarity. It is widely recognized as a transparent material with outstanding chemical resistance delivering a larger range of printing temperatures and increased durability. Please note that for the best 3D printing practices you should consider following the instructions below.
